Travel Nurse RN - Pediatrics - $2,406 per week in Madison, WI

Job Opportunity – Pediatric PACU Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Evening/Night shifts available: 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts with flexibility. Shift times include 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Monday through Friday OR Sunday through Thursday schedules available with no on-call requirement. Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call coverage as needed.

Contract Length: 13-17 weeks accepted

• Pediatric PACU specializing in complex peri-anesthetic management for varied surgical and procedural pediatric populations
• Phase I and Phase II recovery experience with diverse case mix including neuro, ortho/spine, ENT, general surgery, and more
• Epic EMR system utilized facility-wide
• Magnet-designated comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center with Level One Pediatric Trauma Center and Level IV NICU
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of pediatric PACU experience required
• Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license required (pending Wisconsin license accepted with submission)
• Epic charting system experience required
• BLS and PALS certifications required (American Heart Association only)
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Must pass telemetry examination prior to assignment start (strict passing criteria apply)
• Charge experience preferred
• Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility

Patient Care Details:

• Patient age groups: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults
• Daily census of approximately 25 patients
• Comprehensive case load including inpatient and ambulatory/outpatient procedures
• Management of ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, and various surgical subspecialties
