  • Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
  • Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200 - $2,320
  • Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
  • Floating: Required within pediatric units, including PICU and NICU
  • Charting System: Epic

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Critical care nursing experience required
  • Experience in pediatric patient care required
  • Experience using Epic electronic medical record system required
  • Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
  • Ability to care for neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced float pool environment
  • Strong skills in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and pediatric dosage calculations
  • Ability to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality nursing care across pediatric, neonatal, and critical care settings
  • Float to various units based on patient care needs, including PICU and NICU
  • Monitor and support patients requiring advanced nursing care and close observation
  • Administer medications, blood products, and specialized treatments as ordered
  • Care for ventilated patients and support respiratory needs as needed
  • Perform hemodynamic monitoring and assist with complex patient assessments
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
  • Support infection control, isolation precautions, and patient safety protocols
  • Adapt quickly to changing patient acuity and unit assignments
