Job Summary: The Pediatric Medical Floor registered nurse (RN) position is located at a pediatric-specific facility. This role involves providing comprehensive inpatient care to pediatric patients in a multidisciplinary setting. The assignment includes night shifts, with a focus on flexible, adaptable, and positive candidates ready to perform in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
Shift: 12-hour nights, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Schedule: 36 hours per week
Start Date: 11/03/2026
End Date: 02/06/2027
Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum 2 years pediatric RN experience in a large pediatric facility, minimum 2 years specialty experience, experience with Trach/Vent patients, EVD and lumbar drains, chest tubes, JP drains, central lines, TPN/Lipids, CPM/Ortho/Halo traction, colostomy, ileostomy, cecostomy, nephrostomy care, TBI, neuro assessments, seizure management, solid organ transplant patients (liver/kidney), trauma and rehabilitation patients, CPR certification (BLS)
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), previous travel experience preferred
Float: Float rotation may be required to Medical, Oncology, Respiratory, Cardiac Acute Care, Rehab, NICU, and potential NOC sites on North/South Campuses
Additional Information: The position involves modified self-scheduling through an internal committee, working 10 weekends per 8-week schedule, and holiday work as needed. No call responsibilities are included. RTO (Request for Time Off) is not approved during the first two weeks of the assignment and must be disclosed at submission for consideration. Seasonal Influenza vaccination required.
