Job Title: Pediatric CVOR RN Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year of current hospital Pediatric CVOR RN experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Candidates must have experience in cardiac and open-heart surgery. Description: This is a travel position for a Pediatric CVOR RN. The unit is focused on providing care for pediatric patients in a cardiovascular operating room setting. There are 8 operating rooms available for procedures. The staff consists of 25 team members including Charge RNs, RNs, CSTs, and anesthesia providers. The hours of operation are from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Patient ratios are typically 1:1, although this is an estimate and not guaranteed. The equipment used includes Belmont Rapid Fusion and the EMR system is Meditech/CPN. The ideal candidate will have experience managing the operating room and assisting surgeons. Candidates must monitor vital signs and provide pre- and post-operative care. Good teamwork is essential in this role. Prior patient care experience is a priority. Effective communication with staff and providers is necessary. Candidates with additional pediatric and CVOR/cardiac experience will be given preference. The unit also performs a variety of procedures including orthopedic, ENT, urology, spine, general, GYN, endoscopy, plastics, and cardiac. New technology and equipment may be utilized to enhance patient care. Both schedule flexibility and supportive leadership are highlighted positives of this position.
