Job Summary:
The Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. This role involves providing specialized, family-centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents with cardiac and surgical conditions. The RN will be expected to float between multiple hospital locations as needed to support patient care.

Job Details:

  • Position: RN in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
  • Location: Minneapolis, MN
  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, including Day, Evening, and Night shifts, with 12-hour shifts minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Openings: 1 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) at 0.9 (3x12-hour shifts)
  • Assignment Length: 11 weeks starting from 08/03/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, Minnesota RN license or Minnesota Temporary Permit-RN, BLS certification, PALS certification, and two (2) years PICU nursing experience including care for pre-operative and immediate post-operative PICU surgical patients and trauma patients, or two (2) years pediatric cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) nursing experience with the ability to care for pre-operative, immediate post-operative cardiac surgical patients, and pre- and post-cardiac procedural patients.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Responsibilities: Coordinate and provide family-centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents, utilizing the nursing process. Maintain accountability for professional practice, including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members.
