Job Details
Position Description: Responsible for delivering Emergency Room Pediatric care in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on pediatric emergency and Hematology/Oncology cases. The role involves rapid assessment and treatment of pediatric patients across multiple pediatric specialties, including potential float responsibilities.
Required Qualifications: Active Iowa (IA) license or other multistate license, minimum of 2 years of pediatric and Pediatric Emergency Room experience within the past 24 months, Pediatric Emergency Room experience within the previous 15 months, EPIC electronic medical system experience within the previous 12 months, Pediatric / Pediatric Emergency Room skills specific to the discipline, American Heart Association or ARC/Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications, drivers license, and a minimum of 12 months of Pediatric ER experience to qualify for first-time traveler status.
Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: Orientation sessions are scheduled on 10/26, 11/09, 11/23, and 12/07, with earlier start dates prioritized. Candidates must have pediatric experience within the previous 24 months and Pediatric Emergency Room experience within 15 months, along with recent EPIC system experience.
