Job Title

Registered Nurse – PACU (Pediatric)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days/Evenings | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30 or 12:00–00:00)

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric PACU setting, including pre-operative and post-anesthesia recovery
  • Apply pediatric critical care skills to monitor and manage patients in the perioperative environment
  • Document patient assessments and care accurately using Epic electronic health records
  • Float to other units or facilities as needed when qualifications meet the requirements of the receiving area
  • Complete required non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required
Required Qualifications
  • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Pediatric Pre-Op/PACU and Pediatric Critical Care
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • CCRN certification
  • CPAN (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse) certification
  • CAPA (Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse) certification
  • Prior experience in a teaching hospital environment
