Job Summary Pediatric Operating Room (OR PEDS) Specialist This position involves providing specialized perioperative care for pediatric patients in a high-level trauma and neonatal intensive care unit setting. The role requires circulating experience across a variety of case types, including neuro, orthopedic, urology, gynecology, and general surgeries, within a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.
Job Details
Position Description: The role involves performing circulatory duties during pediatric surgical procedures, often across multiple specialties including neuro, orthopedic, ENT, and general surgery, utilizing Epic electronic medical records.
Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, PALS certifications; Washington State or compact RN license; at least 2 years of high-level acute operating room experience, with specific experience preferred in neuro, eyes, dental, and robotics.
Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, with start times between 0645 and 0715, minimum 40 hours per week, working across an 8-12 hour shift pattern as needed. On-call duties include approximately 2 weeknights and 1 weekend every 6 weeks with 30-minute response time.
Additional Information: Floating to Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) may be required, along with assistance to anesthesia with procedures such as intubations. Vaccination against specific infectious diseases and compliance with facility immunization policies are expected.
