**Exciting Opportunity for an RN in Pediatric ICU!** **Job Description:** - **Position:** Contract RN - PICU - **Duration:** 13 Weeks - **Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (3, 12-hour shifts) - **Location:** Building A, 7th Floor - **Unit Type:** Pediatric ICU with a focus on pediatric-specific intensive care needs - **Number of Beds:** 19 beds (10 PICU and 9 Pediatric) - **Staffing Levels:** - Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 3-4 Nurses - Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 3-4 Nurses - **Patient Ratios:** - 1:2 PICU - 1:3 IMC (1:4 with PCT) - 1:5 Pediatrics (1:6 with PCT) **Qualifications:** - **Must Have:** - Nursing experience - Pediatric experience - Pediatric ICU experience - **Preferred:** - Additional pediatric and pediatric ICU experience **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform critical procedures, including: - Lumbar punctures - Intubations - Chest tube placements - Conscious sedation - Collaborate effectively as part of a dedicated team - Adapt to dynamic situations and provide exceptional patient care **Equipment and Technology:** - Work with advanced technology, including: - Hillrom beds - GC monitors - ICU Medial Plum 360 Pumps - Med Fusion syringe pumps - Utilize Meditech for Electronic Medical Records **Dress Code:** - Scrub Color: Galaxy blue - Professional attire only; please avoid any unacceptable clothing **Unique Unit Benefits:** - This unit offers a comprehensive foundation in pediatric care, from treating common conditions to managing critical diagnoses. - Learn and grow alongside a team of experienced and passionate staff. - Flexible scheduling options to ensure work-life balance. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
