Registered Nurse – PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours/Week | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Rotation

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct critical care nursing to pediatric patients in an intensive care setting with patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
  • Float within scope of practice to all pediatric units as needed, including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU
  • Assess, monitor, and manage critically ill pediatric patients throughout the shift
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Participate in emergency response activities as required, including potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required
  • Active South Carolina RN License or Multi-State/Compact RN License (South Carolina license must be active prior to start date)
  • Current BLS certification through American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Current PALS certification through American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
  • Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
