Job Summary Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse position available in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care for pediatric patients requiring intensive treatment, with a focus on critical care procedures and management. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team, supporting patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 10/19/2026 through 01/18/2027.
Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Two or more years of pediatric critical care experience preferred, with at least one year of pediatric critical care experience required. Valid compact state license is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Chest Tube Set-up and Care, CPAP/BiPap management, Ventilation management (High Frequency Vents, Oscillators), Procedural Sedation, Rapid Sequence Intubation drugs, Wound Care, and Vascular Access Devices. Experience with Epic electronic charting system is preferred.
Additional Information: Floating to NICU or units within skill set may be required; orientation will be provided. Candidates should be comfortable working with pediatric patient populations, including adolescents and infants. References covering one year (six months for CNAs) within the last three years are required. Willingness to work three of the five major holidays is essential.
