Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to our pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Pediatric Intensive Care and be prepared to float across various pediatric units to meet facility needs.

Job Details

• Shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, totaling 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; holiday rotation included
• Patient Ratios: 1:2 to 1:3
• Floating: RN will float within scope to all pediatric units in the facility (CVPICU, NICU, PICU)

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience preferred; first-time travelers may be accepted if they meet experience requirements.
• Licensing: Must possess a South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License.
• Certifications: Required certifications include BLS and PALS (must be American Heart Association - AHA certified).
• Preferred Experience: Experience with ECMO, CRRT is a plus.

Schedule and Availability

• Block Schedule: Accommodation of block scheduling will require manager approval based on unit needs.
• Local Radius: Candidates must be within 60 miles of the facility.
• RTO Restrictions: All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application and will be approved based on unit needs.
• Guaranteed Hours: The facility reserves the right to call off one shift every two weeks.

Emergency Response Requirements

Please note that during hurricane season (June to November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. Travelers should ensure they do not confirm new or extended assignments during the hurricane season.
