Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse to join our team. This position involves floating to various pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Medical-Surgical, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED boarders, and Postpartum/Mother-Baby. Candidates must possess a robust clinical background and be adaptable to the diverse needs of pediatric patients across multiple units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients across various units.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals in critical condition.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care and support for patients and families.
• Float among multiple pediatric units as needed, including but not limited to PICU and NICU.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
• Experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is required.
• BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Pediatric PACU experience is highly preferred.
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification is required, but candidates may submit with certification pending.
• Epic experience is necessary.
• Must be comfortable floating between pediatric units and adhering to float policies.
• Virginia nursing license may be submitted with pending status.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time positions available for either 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Day shifts consist of 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00).
• Weekends and holidays are required every other week.
• Time-off requests can be approved for 40 hours, but no requests will be accepted during the first 2 weeks of the assignment.
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed.
