Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring PICU experience, BLS and PALS certification at a Level II trauma children's hospital in Wichita, KS.

Details

• Level II Trauma Pediatric ICU with 15 beds and 38 staff members
• Day shift staffed with Intensivist, RN, Desk Tech, RT, Dietary, and Case Management; night shift staffed with Intensivist, RN, and RT
• Patient ratio of 2:1
• General cardiac/respiratory (CR) monitoring equipment used
• EMR system: Meditech / CPN
• 13-week assignment on a 7P-7A night shift schedule
• Typical procedures include IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PICU RN experience required
• CRRT experience preferred
• APHON certification preferred
• Pediatric teaching hospital experience preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill pediatric patients in a fast-paced teaching hospital environment
• Strong candidates work well under pressure and prioritize patient care experience
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
