Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring a MD or compact RN license and at least 2 years of current PICU experience.

Details

• Work in a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit within a Level 1 designated Burn, Trauma, and Eye center
• Patient population ranges from newborn to 21 years old
• Manages complex diagnoses including respiratory failure, metabolic disorders, seizure disorders, multiorgan failure, shock, toxic ingestions, ECMO, and ventricular assist devices
• Cares for surgical patients including general, cardiac, thoracic, transplant, orthopedic, and neurologic procedures
• Administers continuous infusions and intermittent medications including narcotics, vasopressors, diuretics, PN/IL, IVP, and PCAs, along with PO and GT/JT feeding
• Patient to nurse ratio of 2:1 or 1:1
• Rotating 7A/7P shift schedule

Requirements

• MD or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years current experience in Pediatric ICU required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Critical Care Certification, trauma course completion, and EPIC experience preferred
• Comparable facility size experience required (500+ bed facility experience)
