Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Pediatric ICU position requiring 2 years of PICU experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) with potential float to CICU (CVPICU) and Liberty campus
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:00)
• Every-other-weekend (EOW) work required
• Blocked scheduling available only for weekends (Fri-Sun) if willing to work all weekends
• Epic charting experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (OH single state or multistate compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience with CICU exposure required
• First-time travelers accepted if they meet the 2 years of specialty experience requirement
• Supervisor reference required within the past 2 years
• Copies of nursing certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• May float to CICU as needed based on census, with travelers typically floated first
• Minimum 2 holidays coverage required
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration and cannot exceed 5 days total
• All candidates must be fully vaccinated with no exceptions
• Additional background check and fingerprinting required onsite on first day of assignment
• Previous CCHMC employees are ineligible to apply for 1 year from their termination date
• Candidates within 50 miles of the facility will be considered local and subject to local pay rates
