Travel PICU RN – Anschutz Medical Campus

Location: Aurora, Colorado
Dates: October 6, 2026–January 9, 2027
Hours: 12-hour shifts

Schedule Options: Straight nights or rotating days/nights
Night Shift: 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
Weekends: Every other Saturday and Sunday
On-Call: None
Floating: Required as needed

Requirements:

✅ Colorado RN license
✅ BSN preferred; extensive staff experience may be considered
✅ BLS and PALS required
✅ Minimum two years of comparable staff PICU experience
✅ Three or more years required without previous travel experience
✅ Teaching-hospital PICU travel experience preferred

Patient Population: Birth through age 21

• Respiratory failure requiring nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP, Trilogy, or mechanical ventilation
• Sepsis, traumatic brain injuries, DKA, and seizure disorders
• Oncology, metabolic disorders, chronic childhood diseases, and NAT cases
• Neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic, and general surgical patients

Equipment Experience:

• Trilogy and Dräger ventilators
• Codman ICP monitors
• Medfusion syringe pumps
• Baxter large-volume IV pumps

Floating Details:

Travelers may float to clinically appropriate inpatient critical-care and acute-care units, including facilities within 35 miles. Travelers will not float to the ED, OR, or inpatient psychiatric units.

• No straight-day schedules available
• No requested time off approved during the first two weeks
• Medical and religious flu-vaccine exemptions are considered
• Completed exemption documentation must accompany the submission
