Opportunity:
RN - PICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour evening/night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule runs Monday through Friday with every other weekend required and a holiday rotation
• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Provide family-centered care to critically ill or injured children and their families in a 21-bed unit
• Care for patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical conditions including acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi-system organ failure, and ECMO
• PICU experience required; cardiac experience including CV ICU, cardiac step down, or general cardiac experience strongly preferred
• Minimum two years of acute care experience within the last three years required
• Travel experience required; permanent address must be 50 miles or more from the assigned work site
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred
• Floating to other units required based on staffing needs
• Must have basic arrhythmia experience and pass a telemetry exam prior to start
• Charting experience in Epic required
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults
• ICU patient ratios: 1:1-2; IMC patient ratios: 1:2-3; General care ratios: 1:3-4
• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only), PALS (American Heart Association), NRP, Wisconsin RN license or compact license from permanent address state

This comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center is a Magnet-designated facility featuring nationally recognized pediatric specialists across a wide range of fields. The facility is home to a Level One Pediatric Trauma Center and a Level IV NICU, providing specialized care in a healing environment designed specifically for pediatric patients and their families. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and more.
