Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin.

Opportunity:
RN - PICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour evening/night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Monday through Friday schedule with every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Float position - may float to general population units and other inpatient units as needed
• Provide family-centered care to critically ill or injured children and their families in a 21-bed unit
• Care for patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical conditions including acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi-system organ failure, and ECMO
• Patient ratios: ICU 1:1-2, IMC 1:2-3, General Care 1:3-4
• Minimum 2 years of acute care PICU experience within the last 3 years required
• Solid PICU experience required; CV ICU, cardiac step down, or general cardiac experience preferred
• NICU experience a plus
• Travel experience required
• Permanent address must be 50 miles or more from the assigned primary work site
• Basic Arrhythmia experience required; telemetry exam must be passed prior to start
• Charting system experience required - Epic
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only), PALS (American Heart Association), NRP, RN license
• Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or compact license from permanent address state required
• Key skills include: arterial line management, ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, central line care, IV vasopressors, management of chest tubes, tracheostomy care, pediatric dosage calculations, and care of ventilated patients

This comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center is a Magnet-designated facility featuring nationally recognized pediatric specialists across a wide range of fields, including faculty from a prominent university school of medicine and public health. The state-of-the-art facility is known for its expert care and a warm, soothing atmosphere designed to enhance a child's ability to heal. It is home to a Level One Pediatric Trauma Center and a Level IV NICU, providing specialized care to the tiniest patients throughout the region and beyond. The facility offers robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams.
