Job Summary Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) registered nurse position available in a large academic healthcare facility located in New York, NY. This role involves supporting acuity-adjusted units, including neonatal intensive care and general pediatric units, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Shift is scheduled for overnight hours, with a commitment of 11.5 hours per shift.
Job Details
Schedule: Nights shift, 11.5 hours per shift, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), New York State RN license, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (AHA NRP), two years of recent experience in pediatric intensive care, experience in a large academic teaching hospital, skills checklist matching order skill set, electronic medical record (EMR) experience, willingness to float to units appropriate for skill set
Preferred Qualifications: Level I trauma experience for two years in a specialty area within the last three years
Float: Float rotation may be required within areas matching skill set
Additional Information: The role involves supporting babies on postpartum units, covering general pediatrics, pediatric step-down, PICU, and neonatal ICU. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility, clinical competency in pediatric and neonatal critical care, and experience in a similar large hospital setting. Interviews will include a voice advantage interview and nurse manager screening. Offers are valid for 48 business hours from the date of issuance.
