Registered Nurse (RN) - PICU

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with a specialty in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a passion for providing high-quality care to critically ill children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in the intensive care unit.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor and assess patients' conditions, documenting changes and communicating effectively with the medical team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician.
  • Educate families and caregivers on patient care, treatment plans, and health management.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, including safety and infection control standards.

Shift Details

  • Night Shift: 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
  • Day Shift: 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)
  • Rotating shifts with a few weeks on one schedule before switching to another; no rotating shifts in the same week.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a PICU or similar environment.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records, specifically EPIC.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 2 holidays per year.
  • Local candidates are welcome to apply at the same rate.
