Job Title: Travel RN PACU Profession: RN Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of critical care experience License: RN License Certifications: None specified Must-Have: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience. Willingness to work with both pediatric and adult patients. Description: Travel RN PACU position available for a skilled registered nurse. The PACU unit includes a total of 21 beds with a staff of approximately 14 per day. Staffing typically includes 1 charge RN, 11-13 RNs, and 2 Patient Care Technicians during the day shift. Night shift staffing consists of 1-3 RNs, mostly on call. Patient ratios are maintained at 1:2. The unit is equipped with monitors and stretchers. Electronic Medical Record system used is Meditech. There is an on-call requirement of 32 hours per month. There is no floating requirement. The ideal candidate is expected to function independently while providing team support. Candidates with Meditech experience and prior PACU experience will be prioritized during the selection process. The unit follows Phase 1 and 2 recovery guidelines per ASPAN standards.
