Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours (0730-2000) Experience: 2+ years of RN experience, Pre/Post Op experience, Phase II experience, PACU experience License: Active Michigan License Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: Skills checklist, supervisory reference forms Description: This position requires basic knowledge of operative procedures to assess and implement care for ambulatory surgery patients. Regularly assess patients' needs and provide skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician's plan of care and accepted standards of nursing practice. Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, and responding to alarms. Evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment plan and participate in updating/revising it in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information to improve patient care. Process physician orders and perform physician-ordered care accurately, completely, and in a timely manner. Follow up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.
