The nurse will work 3 shifts of 12 hours each, primarily in the day. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-acuity environment. The unit operates 24/7 and receives critical care patients. The nurse will be responsible for the care of ventilated patients, as well as those undergoing various surgical procedures. Candidates will need to demonstrate the ability to handle high volumes of patients while providing quality care. Participation in call shifts is required, averaging 12-24 hours within a 6-week schedule. The nurse will work effectively with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care. Experience with pediatrics and a variety of surgical specialties, including neuro and orthopedic, is preferred. The position may require floating within the facility. A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in nursing practices is essential. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
