Job Title: Seasonal Travel RN - PACU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 09:00 - 21:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital PACU RN experience License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PACU RN experience - BLS & ACLS certifications Description: This is a seasonal, travel RN position in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. The unit is comprised of 30 beds with a structured staffing model. During the day shift, the unit includes 1 charge nurse and 12 staff nurses. On the night shift, there are typically 2 registered nurses. Patient ratios are 1 RN to 2 patients and sometimes 1 RN to 1 patient. The unit utilizes an electronic medical record system. Skills that are in high demand include flexibility with hours and prior experience with the electronic medical record system. Typical procedures performed within the unit include craniotomies and orthopedic surgeries. The ideal candidate will possess a great attitude and the ability to handle stressful situations. Prioritizing patient experience is essential for success in this role. On-call duties are required, with a 30-minute response time when on-call.
