Seven Healthcare is seeking a reliable and experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a 13-week PACU assignment in Austin, Texas. Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse
- Provide post-anesthesia recovery care for surgical patients
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient status during the immediate post-op period
- Administer medications and manage IVs as ordered
- Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate as needed
- Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesia providers, and other nurses
- Educate patients and families regarding post-op care and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow all PACU protocols
Requirements of the Travel Nurse
- Active RN license (Texas or compact state)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- PALS preferred (depending on facility)
- Minimum of 2 years' recent PACU or critical care experience
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently on night shifts in a high-acuity environment
