Description:
This is an IR PACU position.
Shifts will rotate with varying start times of 6 AM, 7 AM, or 8 AM.
3 to 4 late stays are required every 6 weeks.
Candidates must have experience in caring for pediatric patients.
The shift varies according to the needs of the unit.
Staffing will typically be 3 twelve-hour shifts per week.
The candidate must be willing to obtain PALS certification prior to starting the role.
Candidates will be required to monitor phase 1 recovery and ICU patients.
They will be expected to pre-operate patients and care for them upon return from interventional radiology procedures.
Candidates should possess skills in arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, conscious sedation, and discharge instructions.
Dysrhythmia recognition and management skills are essential.
Experience in managing pediatric patients and medication reconciliation is required.
Candidates must be able to monitor and care for IR PACU patients exclusively.
The call policy requires a response time of 1 hour, with weekday call from 8 PM to 6 AM.
Weekends will have divided shifts from either 6 AM to 6 PM or 6 PM to 6 AM.
Floating requirements may include transferring patients to main PACU to complete recovery.
Candidates should be prepared for occasional weekend coverage as needed.
