Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: State or compact licensure required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Travel experience required - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with patient ratios of 3:1 Description: The position involves working in the PACU unit. Nurses will provide care for patients recovering from anesthesia. The shift is from 10:30 to 23:00, three times a week. Call requirements include one full weekend of night call each month. Typical patient load is 5-6 patients per nurse per day. Experience in various procedures such as abdominal aortic aneurysm repairs, airway assessments, and central line management is needed. Skills in medication reconciliation and pain management are essential. Responsibilities will include monitoring patients, administering medications, and providing discharge instructions. Candidates must be proficient in using charting systems, preferably McKesson. Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team will be required. Minimum of two years of relevant experience is mandatory for applicants. Travel experience is a necessary part of the role.
