Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Description:
A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients.
The Registered Nurse focuses on safe, effective, patient-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes.
The RN is responsible for maintaining a financially stable unit and promoting personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.
The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members.
The RN has the responsibility to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.
The RN focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction.
The RN applies educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care and mentoring staff.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure or as warranted by patient condition.
- Demonstrates the ability to make sound independent decisions.
- Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care and reviews and revises the plan as needed.
- Collaborates with patient/family and interdisciplinary services.
- Utilizes resources appropriately to support the needs of the organization/patient/family.
- Monitors and documents response to clinical interventions.
- Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education specific to patient/family needs during their stay and at discharge.
- Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel.
- Functions as a mentor/preceptor and fosters teamwork.
- Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement.
- Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts.
- Implements practice changes and complies with regulatory standards.
- Participates in the governance model.
