Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years critical care experience, with at least one year of inpatient acute care PACU experience License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional responsible for coordinating patient care delivery. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses patients, identifies nursing diagnoses, and develops an individualized plan of care. The RN promotes safe passage for patients by assisting them through healthcare encounters without complications or delays. The RN delegates interventions according to the practice act and each patient's condition. This position is for RNs in hospital inpatient and outpatient departments with 24/7 staffing, including those with on-call requirements. Essential Functions: Conduct accurate clinical assessments according to practice standards. Identify and prioritize patient and family needs. Develop, implement, and evaluate the nursing plan of care. Modify the care plan to meet clinical outcomes. Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice. Participate in quality improvement initiatives. Create a compassionate and therapeutic environment for patients and families. Develop therapeutic relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Assist with managing emotional and physical pain to promote comfort and healing. Recognize and incorporate unique patient differences into individualized care plans. Preserve and protect patient confidentiality and rights. Facilitate learning for patients, families, and staff throughout the continuum of care. Collaborate with colleagues to implement integrated care plans. Utilize available resources for problem-solving and planning patient care. Participate in shared governance and decision-making processes. Key Success Factors: Knowledge of nursing and patient care standards. Understanding of laws and regulations related to nursing care. Familiarity with medical terminology and health promotion principles. Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse constituencies. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Ability to observe changes in patients' medical conditions and communicate effectively with the healthcare team. Capable of providing quality, patient-centered care to all patients. Proficiency in general computer skills necessary for documentation and communication.
