Using the nursing process, the RN assesses patients, identifies nursing diagnoses, and develops an individualized plan of care. The RN promotes safe passage for patients by assisting them through healthcare encounters without complications or delays. The RN delegates interventions according to the practice act and each patient's condition. This position is for RNs in hospital inpatient and outpatient departments with 24/7 staffing, including those with on-call requirements. Essential Functions: Conduct accurate clinical assessments according to practice standards. Identify and prioritize patient and family needs. Develop, implement, and evaluate the nursing plan of care. Modify the care plan to meet clinical outcomes. Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice. Participate in quality improvement initiatives. Create a compassionate and therapeutic environment for patients and families. Develop therapeutic relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Assist with managing emotional and physical pain to promote comfort and healing. Recognize and incorporate unique patient differences into individualized care plans. Preserve and protect patient confidentiality and rights. Facilitate learning for patients, families, and staff throughout the continuum of care. Collaborate with colleagues to implement integrated care plans.
