TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Tucson, Arizona, 85712!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years in PACU License: Valid RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of PACU experience - Experience with telemetry skills - Experience with pediatric recovery preferred - Must be comfortable with ICU patients or willing to learn - EPIC experience required Description: Upcoming orientation dates are available. Acuity ranges from ICU to outpatient. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:2. Charge experience is preferred. Experience with managing patients in a high volume pediatric surgery setting is beneficial. Candidates must have general surgical experience in diagnostics and treatments. All applicants must have experience with End-Tidal CO2 monitoring and central line care. Candidates should be proficient in medication reconciliation and intubation. Knowledge of emergency medications and post-operative care protocols is essential. Travel experience is required. A collaborative work environment is emphasized with support from interdisciplinary teams. Candidates should be comfortable caring for a diverse patient age group including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The unit accommodates a high volume of cases, managing both outpatient procedures and intensive care recovery. Candidates must demonstrate strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple patients effectively. Experience with care planning and discharge instructions is necessary. Adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures is required. All candidates will be evaluated based on their prior experience and reference checks.
