Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Prior PACU experience Description: This position requires expertise in post-anesthesia care. The role involves working with adult patients. The unit operates primarily with a 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratio. Equipment used includes electronic health records systems. Common procedures include appendectomies and gallbladder surgeries. There is an on-call requirement during nights and weekends. Responding to on-call cases must be done within 30 minutes. The work week is expected to be around 40 hours. Dress code includes scrubs, with specific restrictions on open-toed shoes and artificial nails. Candidates with preoperative experience are preferred. This role includes floating between preoperative and PACU units as needed.
