Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - PACU- Obtain and record initial assessments, establish priorities according to patient age, symptoms, and needs.
- Re-assess patients systematically to identify progress and trends that require intervention.
- Develop and implement a measurable, individualized plan of care within established time frames.
- Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of facts and evaluation of patient outcomes.
- Participate in patient/significant other health education and discharge planning.
- Implement and document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs.
- Evaluate the plan of care and perform various Point of Care testing procedures.
Requirements of the Registered Nurse - PACU- Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications via AHA required.
