Must-Have:
- Charge experience
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma center
- Proficient with the Cerner charting system
- Experience with pediatrics and various surgical services, including neuro, ortho, thoracic, urology, gynecology, plastics, and intubated patients
Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our PACU department.
The PACU is a fast-paced environment that operates 24/7.
The average daily census is 65-85 patients.
This role requires the ability to manage patients post-anesthesia.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a high-acuity setting, handling various critical care patients, particularly in neuro.
The role includes on-call responsibilities averaging 12-24 hours every six weeks, along with one holiday shift during the contract period.
Our facility provides support services, including respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
We receive patients from all surgical specialties, excluding open heart surgery.
Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
Applicants should prepare to float within the facility as needed.
This position demands adaptability and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
