Job Title: Recovery RN Profession: RN Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: RN degree Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Trauma level recovery experience Description: The facility is a 198-bed level III trauma center. It includes state-of-the-art operating suites. The center provides healthcare services to a diverse region. Services include medical, surgical, and rehabilitation care. Additional facilities include a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, and inpatient behavioral health unit. A day surgery center and extensive imaging and lab testing services are also available. The facility is known for its beautiful surroundings. It is located in an area featuring three rivers, four golf courses, five lakes, and six national parks. Opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and historical sightseeing are abundant. The center performs level I and II procedures excluding open hearts. The position requires recovery for general surgery, orthopedic, neuro, obstetrics/gynecology, urology, ENT, and robotics cases. It operates with a patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2. The equipment used includes Mindray EHR with Cerner. Supervision is provided by designated staff. The patient population primarily consists of adults with mid to high acuity levels. Float requirements may include possible shifts in Preoperative and Endoscopy areas. Experience with pediatric dental recovery is preferred. Common diagnoses and treatments include those mentioned above.
