Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid and Night Rotation Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of high acuity PACU RN experience required License: Must have valid nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required Must-Have: ICU experience preferred Must pass EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum score of 80% and 100% on lethal rhythms First-time travelers accepted Call required: possibly 5-6 per six-week period Weekend shifts: 2 weekends per 6 weeks Description: Seeking an experienced PACU RN for an acute care setting. Candidates must have experience in pediatric PACU, Phase I, Phase II recovery, and pre-post operative care. ICU experience is preferred. Candidates should be familiar with Cerner or similar charting systems. The role requires skills in airway assessment, medication administration, and care of ventilated patients. Candidates must have experience with starting and maintaining IVs, blood product administration, and phlebotomy. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential for patient assessments and education. Candidates must work effectively in a team-based interdisciplinary environment. Flexibility in scheduling and a commitment to patient-centered care are expected. Participation in ongoing education and adherence to safety protocols is required.
