Travel Nurse RN - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op - $2,345 per week in Midland, TX

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 2 Years Preferred License: Active License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Must-Have: Experience with pediatrics required. Experience in critical care preferred. Availability for call shifts required. Description: This is an urgent backfill position in a peri-anesthesia service setting. Candidates must hold current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH certifications. Experience with various surgeries, excluding cardiac procedures, is essential. Experience recovering patients from orthopedic, neurological, general, urological, dental, GYN, and pediatric ENT surgeries is necessary. Candidates must demonstrate capability in managing patients with nerve blocks, chest tube insertions, central lines, intubation, and A-lines. Expected responsibilities include working in both Pre-Op and PACU. Candidates must be comfortable in a high-volume, diverse patient care environment. Duties involve patient monitoring, pain assessment, and management, and familiarity with IV medication administration. Experience with pediatric patients in various surgical contexts is heavily weighted. An emphasis is placed on effective communication and collaboration within interdisciplinary teams. Candidates should be adaptable to fluctuations in patient census and acuity. Strong experience in monitoring and managing post-operative recovery for a wide age range is required.
