Travel Nurse RN - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op - $2,345 per week in Torrance, CA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year of PACU experience plus ER or ICU experience required. License: Active California license required at the time of submission. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required. Must-Have: Experience with Cerner and Phase II recovery. Discharge experience required. Description: Job requirements include a minimum of 1 year of PACU experience in addition to ER or ICU experience. Certifications required are ACLS, BLS, and PALS. First-time travelers are accepted. Requirements include experience with Cerner and the ability to care for patients in Phase II and provide discharge instructions. Job duties include caring for pediatric to adult patients, including post-operative and catheterization lab patients. The patient ratio is approximately 4 patients per nurse. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. No floating between units is required. No on-call duties are expected. References from a supervisor or higher position within the past year are required. No scheduling requests can be accommodated. The unit provides interdisciplinary support from various teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services. The daily census for the unit is typically around 25 patients.
