Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: SR PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: M-F Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 5 years hospital experience preferred License: Current Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing required Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Description: Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Adheres to professional standards and state regulations. Completes nursing database and care plan with concise and pertinent information. Reports findings to the physician. Performs nursing procedures and interventions safely, efficiently, and with technical skill. Safely defuses anxious, hostile, or violent behavior at the earliest possible stage. Identifies patient learning needs and provides education. Demonstrates appropriate and effective use of delegation. Effectively utilizes information provided in annual training and follows the nurse practice act.
