Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (09:30 - 22:00) Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Current RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Experience with Epic charting system required Community hospital experience preferred Travel experience required Description: Supports recovery services for various inpatient and outpatient procedures. Responsible for monitoring patients post-surgery and during recovery. Administers medications and manages patient care plans. Conducts assessments and provides interventions based on patient needs. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams for holistic patient care. Maintains accurate patient records and charts as part of the care process. Handles urgent situations effectively, utilizing advanced skills and protocols. Demonstrates expertise in managing different types of patients, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Utilizes knowledge of pain management and sedation practices. Implements infection control measures and isolation precautions. Participates in ongoing professional development and education. Adheres to policies and procedures to ensure quality patient care. Evaluates the effectiveness of care plans and makes necessary adjustments. Provides education and support to patients and families regarding their care. Completes all required documentation in a timely manner. Is prepared to float to other units as needed. Maintains compliance with regulations and standards of practice. Demonstrates critical thinking and decision-making skills in clinical situations. Supports emergency response initiatives when necessary.
