Travel Nurse RN - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op - $2,592 per week in Rochester, NY

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: NY license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CGRN Must-Have: - Competency in phlebotomy and IV placement - Experience with administering conscious sedation - Ability to float to PreAn/PACU if needed Description: Endoscopy RN needed for a specialized role. Candidates must be available for 10-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Days off will vary based on department needs. There is no guarantee of consistent days off or Mondays and Fridays. On-call requirements include weeknights, weekends, and holidays, approximately 4-6 shifts per month. RNs will provide care for patients with procedural diagnoses including pancreatic, lung, colon, and gastric cancers, polyps, Barrett's esophagus, and CBD stones/strictures/cancers. Special procedures performed in this unit include EUS, ERCP, navigational bronchoscopy, EBUS, manometry, and Fibroscan. Staffing patient ratios are typically 3:1 during the day. RNs will be expected to handle special equipment such as ERBE, Olympus scopes/processors, Super-D, Bravo, VCE, and Manometry. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. Candidates will need experience with charting, particularly in EPIC, and will be required to float as necessary. This position is open to first-time travelers.
