Travel Nurse RN - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op - $2,637 per week in San Francisco, CA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 11 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (06:00 - 14:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - Experience in Ambulatory/Outpatient settings - Pediatric PACU experience - Phase I and Phase II Recovery experience - Ability to float between areas Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, providing care to patients recovering from anesthesia. The role requires the ability to float to other facilities as needed. Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of experience in a PACU or similar environment. Experience with pediatric patients is necessary. Responsibilities include monitoring patient recovery, administering medications, and providing discharge instructions. Candidates must have current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Knowledge of charting systems, particularly Epic, is preferred. The unit sees a variety of patient diagnoses including orthopedic, endocrine, GYN, pulmonary, and more. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams are necessary. This position may require floating to different departments based on patient needs. Candidates must be prepared for a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to changing priorities. All references must be provided prior to the start of employment. Travel experience is preferred for this role.
