Must-Have:
- Experience in inpatient Phase I PACU
- Skills in arterial line management, dysrhythmia recognition/management, blood product administration, and central line care/management
- Knowledge of IV vasopressors, narcotics/opioid analgesics, and reversal agents
- Familiarity with external ventricular drain (EVD), ICP monitoring, and care of ventilated patients
- Proficiency in conscious sedation and post-epidural management
Description:
The position involves providing competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care.
The registered nurse is accountable for overall management of nursing care from admission to discharge.
Ensuring patient safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection is essential.
The nurse will respond to medical and environmental emergencies when they arise.
The role requires planning and coordinating care, ensuring patient assessment is thorough and timely.
Administers treatments, medications, and performs nursing skills in a timely manner.
Maintains knowledge of patient care status and communicates changes to the medical team.
Coordinates care with patients, physicians, families, and other health team members.
Develops and modifies patients' plans of care based on assessments and evaluations.
Communicates effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Demonstrates clinical judgment and critical thinking throughout all nursing processes.
Engages in continuous evaluation and adjustment of care plans.
Ensures adherence to unit, department, and hospital policies and procedures.
Participates actively in patient education and discharge planning.
This position may involve floating between PACU and Same Day Surgery areas.
A calm, efficient manner is essential for initiating emergency interventions.
Candidates must possess relevant certifications with valid expiration dates.
