Travel Nurse RN - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op - $2,715 per week in San Francisco, CA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years of PACU RN experience required, preferably in a high acute care hospital. ICU experience required. Cath Lab experience preferred. License: CA RN Licensure required. Certifications: BLS (AHA) ACLS PALS Must-Have: Knowledge of peri-anesthesia standards of care. Knowledge of airway management, nursing assessment parameters, and pharmacology. Description: The registered nurse provides individualized nursing care based on knowledge of basic competencies in the fundamentals of peri-anesthesia nursing and pharmacology. Nursing care is provided to geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients from admission through discharge. This position requires knowledge of doses, purposes, interactions, side effects, and reactions to medications. Ideal candidates must have experience with end-tidal CO2 monitoring, airway assessment, and administration of emergency medications. Candidates should be skilled in managing ventilated patients and have experience in various surgical procedures such as laparoscopic and vascular surgeries. The role includes conducting nursing assessments, interpreting lab values, and providing patient education and support.
