  • Schedule: 4x10
  • Experience Required: 2 Years
  • Weekly Pay: $2750 to $2950
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical and procedural interventions
  • Perform detailed post-operative assessments, including airway, respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, and pain evaluations
  • Monitor patients for complications related to anesthesia and surgical procedures
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and pain management treatments as prescribed
  • Operate and monitor advanced patient monitoring equipment, including cardiac monitors, pulse oximetry, and infusion pumps
  • Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and post-operative emergencies
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, operating room staff, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure safe patient recovery
  • Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care, medications, discharge instructions, and recovery expectations
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and PACU quality measures
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting comfort and safe recovery
Requirements
  • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Minimum 2 years of recent PACU nursing experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Current ACLS Certification required
  • PALS Certification preferred
  • Experience caring for adult post-surgical patients in an acute care PACU setting
  • Strong knowledge of post-anesthesia recovery, airway management, pain control, and hemodynamic monitoring
  • Excellent assessment, communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
  • Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care
