Description:
MUST WORK 2 OUT OF 3 OF THE HOLIDAY BUNDLES: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, NYE & NYD.
No RQI Certifications.
Pre/Post Cath lab procedures experience required.
Pre/Post IR procedures experience required.
COVID Vaccine: optional; must report vaccine numbers.
Ratios for PACU are 1:2.
First-timers accepted upon screening.
Weekend requirement: One per month.
On-call requirement: 1-2 overnight shifts monthly.
Floating within scope to the Holding area in PACU is required.
Nurse to patient ratio can be 1:3-5 in the holding area.
These patients are equivalent to an inpatient floor PCU assignment.
Highly recommend clinicians with Phase II PACU experience.
Willingness to perform pre-op procedures is required.
Experience with ventilated patients and dysrhythmia recognition/management is essential.
Must be prepared to accommodate block schedules.
No locals within 100 miles are accepted.
Pending license is accepted.
Approval is needed for time off greater than 7 days.
Guaranteed hours are 36 hours per week, with the facility allowed to call off 3 times throughout the duration of assignment.
Special requirements include level 1 trauma and Telemetry experience.
Clinical support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Transportation.
Daily census averages over 35 cases.
Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Interdisciplinary support is available for various services.
Travelers must complete compliance within specified time frames.
Modules are completed annually and may take up to 12 hours.
Travelers without certification must pass training during orientation week.
Must have prior travel experience for some units.
A 6-month break is required after 4 consecutive assignments or one year of service.
Separation of 12 months is required for former staff.
