Job Title: PACU RN - Inpatient Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PACU Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Pending license accepted Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - Level 1 trauma experience - Telemetry experience - Ability to work holiday bundles (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) - Willingness to float to the Holding area in PACU Description: The PACU nurse will be responsible for the care of patients in the post-anesthesia care unit. Candidates must have experience with pre and post Cath lab procedures. The nurse will provide care for a patient ratio of 1:2 in the PACU, with potential floating to a 1:3-5 patient ratio in the Holding area. The position requires a commitment to work one weekend shift per month. Nurses will need to be available for 1-2 overnight call shifts each month. The role includes the management of ventilated patients and dysrhythmia recognition. Clinicians will provide care across various patient age groups, including neonates and geriatrics. Previous charge experience is preferred but not required. Nurses should be comfortable with increased patient care demands and acute situations. Pediatric experience is a plus but not mandatory. This position requires flexibility in accommodating facility needs. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
