Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nurse Specialty: Staff Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Rotational Hours per Shift: 10-hour shifts Experience: Six (6) months to three (3) years of nursing experience License: Current RN License in Client Certifications: BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, PALS Certification Must-Have: - Comfort with titrating vasoactive drips - Experience managing sedation for ventilated patients Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. Prevention of illness and injury, and alleviation of suffering are key responsibilities. The RN is responsible for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development. This includes adherence to applicable Nurse Practice Acts, policies, and Code of Ethics for Nurses. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment focused on patient-centered care. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. Managing a group of patients while serving as a primary nurse or accountable nurse is essential. Education of patients and families in health promotion and disease management is required. The RN must utilize a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administer medications. Shared responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization is expected. Compliance with nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and relevant policies is critical. Active participation in professional development and continuing education is required. The RN integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice. Providing a supportive learning environment for new employees and students is a key duty. Engagement in shared governance and improvement initiatives is encouraged. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
