Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural sedation
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs, airway status, and neurological condition throughout the recovery phase
- Administer medications and interventions as ordered, responding promptly to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe patient transitions
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU experience
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in a high-volume or acute care post-anesthesia setting
- Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills in a fast-paced environment
