Registered Nurse – PACU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural interventions in a PACU setting
• Maintain a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, delivering individualized assessments and interventions throughout the recovery phase
• Participate in on-call coverage, including one on-call shift per week and one late shift as required
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including coverage on like units as necessary
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in weekend coverage rotation as determined by staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of PACU nursing experience required
• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records required
• Must be an experienced traveler; first-time travelers are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in an acute care hospital environment
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to varying scheduling needs, including block schedule arrangements subject to unit approval
